Toll Helicopters
With extensive experience in operations, helicopter maintenance and training, our staff are some of the most highly experienced and well-trained aviation professionals in the country.
We work with our clients to achieve their mission safely, on time and on budget every time. We lead the field in helicopter emergency medical services, search and rescue operations, airborne law enforcement, training and logistics support – often in remote, inhospitable and challenging locations. Safety is our obsession, we have an enviable safety record, with no accidents or major incidents throughout our operating history.
Our integrated team includes pilots, aircrew, helicopter engineers, safety managers, trainers, and inventory and aviation management specialists. We have extensive regional and global civil and military helicopter experience and Toll Helicopters is a proud veterans’ employer of choice.

Operating under a CASA - approved Air Operator’s Certificate (AOC), Toll Helicopters has extensive industry accreditations to deliver a wide range of helicopter services, such as:

Operating the Toll Ambulance Rescue Helicopter Service
In January 2017, NSW Health selected Toll to deliver its mission-critical aeromedical services, reflecting our reputation for safe, reliable helicopter services.
Every year in NSW and ACT, more than 3,000 flights are needed for emergencies such as car accidents, inter-hospital transfers, and search and rescue missions.
We’re proud to be entrusted with these highly valued community services – and in order to meet this demand we operate the largest aeromedical fleet of new purpose-built AW139 helicopters in Australia.
Ambulance Victoria Fixed Wing
In 2024 Toll Aviation became the proud contractor supplying Fixed Wing air ambulance services to Ambulance Victoria for a contract term between 2024-2035. We partner with Ambulance Victoria to provide critical care and patient transport to support metro, regional and remote communities across Victoria 24/7.
Our experienced team includes highly trained flight crew, engineers, trade assistants and operational staff, and we provide all aircraft, facilities, equipment and systems required for assured service delivery. In Victoria, our Ambulance Fixed Wing service is based out of Essendon and operates with two B260 and two B360 King Air aircraft.

Operations
Toll provides full fixed wing support to Ambulance Victoria including

Equipment
Toll owns and operaters two Beechcraft King Air 260 and two King Air 360, with an advanced mechanical stretcher loading system that can reduce transfer times by up to 20 minutes.
These aircraft are also essential for inter-hospital transfers, enabling regional Victorians to access specialised medical services, including non-emergency treatments such as chemotherapy and radiotherapy.
Who We Support
Ambulance Victoria’s paramedics are highly skilled in managing a wide range of clinical needs, ensuring that patients receive comprehensive care throughout the transfer process. By minimising travel time and optimising logistics, we assist in enhancing patient outcomes by ensuring timely access to vital medical services.
We also collaborate with local healthcare providers and community organisations to enhance our services. By utilising telehealth technology and improving communication channels, we support our patients before, during, and after transfers, offering critical care as well as ongoing resources tailored to their needs.
NSW Ambulance Fixed Wing
NSW Ambulance fixed-wing aircraft deliver clinical care to critically ill or injured patients, and patients requiring medical transport over long distances who are unable to be transported by Non-Emergency Patient Transport (NEPT).

Utilising mission simulation technology, our training courses ensure that pilots, aircrew and specialist personnel are equipped with high standards of training and knowledge to be prepared for any mission scenario.
Located at Bankstown Airport in New South Wales, the purpose-built building is equipped with the latest technology and training facilities, including:
